OCBM Annual Conference

"Seeing Beyond - Local Leadership, National Progress"

   July 20-21, 2012
   Langston University - Oklahoma City
4205 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105

The OCBM Annual Conference is a regional forum designed to encourage the building of alliances among elected officials, industry leaders, and issue experts. The Conference fosters a safe environment for sharing ideas, discussing current events, and learning about new initiatives and programs through plenary sessions, workshops, roundtables and policy committees. The goal of the Annual Conference is to intellectually equip elected officials to effectively address infrastructure and public service challenges as well as foster thinking on relevant issues and highlight best practices in the application of economic development, research and policy.

Presentations throughout the Conference offer participants new perspectives and innovative ideas that may inevitably lead to economic development, policy resolutions and problem solving in their respective towns.  OCBM exists to engage in problem solving through dialogue, leadership development, and collaboration.  We believe that people have the inherent capacity to solve their own problems and that social transformation is within the reach of all communities.
OCBM provides a platform to network, collaborate and gain leadership skills.
